U.S. citizens may visit Hong
Kong for up to 90 days without a visa, but a visa is
required for those to work, study, establish or join in any business
or to take up residence.

How to apply
You must come to the Embassy or Consulate -General in the consular jurisdiction where
you reside to submit the application, or you may send someone
else or a travel/visa agent to come
to the visa office of the Embassy or Consulate -General in the
consular jurisdiction where you reside for application process.

- Processing
time is not fixed. The Embassy or Consulate ¨C Generals shall issue
visas according to the response from the Hong Kong Immigration Department.
Fees
Visa fee $30 and Liaison fee $20 are
payable by Money Order, Cashier¡¯s Check, Company Check or
Cash.
- Personal checks are not acceptable. Please make the check
or money order payable to Chinese
Embassy or Chinese Consulate.
