On January 5, Consul General Xu Erwen visited UT-Tyler and met with President Rodney Mabry. Consul Yan Guohua, Consul Li Zhuang and President of Tyler Junior College Dr. Michael Metke, President of Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce Mr. Tom Mullins were present.

President Mabry welcomed Consul General Xu to visit UT-Tyler and briefed her with the specialties of UT-Tyler. He is delighted to see a growing number of Chinese teachers and students in the university and hopes that the exchanges and cooperation between UT-Tyler and its Chinese counterparts could be further enhanced in the future.

Consul General Xu was impressed by UT-Tyler’s rapid growth. She said that the Chinese Consulate General in Houston is ready to help promote UT-Tyler’s cooperation with China.
