Consul General Gao Yanping Attends the 2010 Annual Who's Who in Asian American Communities Award Ceremony

On August 28, Consul General Gao Yanping attended the 2010 Annual Who's Who in Asian American Communities (WWAAC) Award Ceremony in Atlanta. Consul Wang Peijun of the Chinese Consulate General and more than 400 distinguished guests from all walks of life were present.

Consul General Gao Yanping presented the award to Michael E. Chen, President & CEO of the Media, Communications & Entertainment Department of GE Capital. She remarked that the Chinese Americans and Asian Americans not only made significant contributions to the economic and social development of the United States, but also become important bridges of friendship among the peoples of China, U.S. and Asian countries. She hopes the Chinese Americans will continue playing an important role in promoting the economic and social development of the United States and deepening the understanding and friendship between the peoples of China and the United States. She also hopes the WWAAC will continue building harmonious relations among various communities, strengthening the friendship between Asian countries and the U.S., creating better working and living conditions for overseas Chinese and Chinese and Asian Americans.

Other honorees include Ms. Patricia "Kiko" Harvey, Vice President and Corporate Audit of Delta Air Lines, Ms. Shamina Singh, Chief Operating Officer of Citi Community Development and Mr. Ronald Chang, Vice President of the Mergers and Acquisitions Department of UPS, etc.
