On December 12, Consul General Gao Yanping met with Texas State Representative Angie Chen Button.

Consul General Gao said that the enhancement of mutual understanding and achievement of win-win cooperation definitely conform the benefits of China and United States as well as their people. Because of the regional advantage and diverse economy of Texas, more exchanges and cooperation should be made between China and Texas in the future. She briefed Representative Chen with China's economy situation and the Chinese Economic Work Conference held days ago. She encouraged Representative Chen to continue playing active role in the promotion of China-Texas exchanges and cooperation in various fields to a greater extent.

Representative Chen expressed her willingness to devote more efforts in the promotion of friendly relations and cooperation between China and Texas. She said the people of Texas and herself have confidence in the bright future of China's economy.
