On December 13, Consul General Gao Yanping met with Mr. & Mrs. David Leebron, president of Rice University and Mr. & Mrs. Charles Foster, president of Asia Society-Texas Center. 

Consul General Gao briefed them with the current economic situation in China. They exchanged their views on a series of topics, including Sino-U.S. relations and the present U.S. economy situation. President Leebron and President Foster said they highly value the friendship between China and U.S. They will continue promoting exchanges and cooperation between universities and institutes from both countries.
