Consul General Gao Yanping Accompanies Mr. Xu Kuangdi Visiting Atlanta

On December 3, Chinese Consul General in Houston Gao Yanping accompanied Mr. Xu Kuangdi, President of Chinese Academy of Engineering, President of China-U.S. Peoples Friendship Association and Madam Li Xiaolin, Vice President of the Chinese Peoples Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries attending the opening ceremony of the Photo Exhibition for 30 years Anniversary of the Establishment of the Sino-US Diplomatic Relations. The photo exhibition was held in Carter Center. Mr. Xu, U.S. former President Jimmy Carter and the Director-General of Atlanta Public Education Bureau Ms. Beverly Hall delivered warm remarks at the opening ceremony.

   
 

On the evening of December 3, Consul General Gao attended the dialogue on Sino-U.S. relations. Former President Carter, Vice President Li Xiaolin, Vice Chairman of the Carter Center Mr. John Stremlau, Director of China Program of the Carter Center Mr. Liu Yawei and Professor of Emory University Ms. Mary Bullock were on the panel.

Consul General Gao accompanied Mr. Xu attended the signing ceremony of the MOU between University of Nanjing and Emory. Gao also attended the welcome reception hosted by UPS. Mr. Xu gave a lecture on the topic of Low Carbon EconomyDealing with Climate Change at the Emory University.
