On December 10, Consul General Gao Yanping met with former U.S. president George H W Bush in Houston.
Consul General Gao expressed her gratitude to Mr. Bush for the continuous efforts made by him and his family in promoting a better Sino-U.S. relationship. She stressed that a stable and healthy Sino-U.S. relationship conforms the benefit of our two countries and their people. She expected him to continuously play an active role in the development of the Sino-U.S. relations and wished him good health and happy holidays.
Mr Bush congratulated Consul General Gao's assumption to her post as Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Houston and wished her work goes well. He happily recalled the reminiscent memories of his time spent in China and with the Chinese leaders. He said that he has a strong bond with China and its people and sincerely wished a better future of Sino-U.S. relationship.
