Consul General Gao Yanping meets with Yao Ming

On Nov. 5th, Consul General Gao Yanping met with Yao Ming, the famous Chinese basketball star adored by both Chinese and American people, in the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Houston. Consul General Gao asked about Yao Ming’s recovery after the surgery and conveyed warm regards and greetings from the Chinese people, wishing that Yao Ming could fully recover and return to the court soon, and continue to make contributions to promoting the friendship between the Chinese and American people, as well as the development of the Chinese basketball.

Yao Ming deeply appreciated the care and love from the Chinese people and friends. He expressed his gratitude for the help of Consul General Gao Yanping and the Chinese Consulate General in Houston. He said he was in good physical condition now and was conducting step-by-step recovery traininghoping to return to the court soon.
