On February 1, Consul General Xu Erwen visited the new building of Asia Society Texas Center, which is to be officially open in April this year. Consul Cai Lian, Consul Zhou Yujiang and representatives of the Chinese community in Houston were also present.

Accompanied by Mrs. Lily Foster, wife of Asia Society Texas Center Chairman Charles Foster and Mrs. Martha Blackwelder, Executive Director of the Center, Consul General Xu and the party toured and were briefed on the major facilities in the new building, including the Performing Arts Theater, the Grand Hall, the art Gallery, and the gardens.

Consul General Xu congratulated Asia Society Texas Center for its robust growth and expected it to continue its efforts in promoting exchanges and understanding between the peoples of China and the U.S.
