The trade volume between China and the US hit a historic high of 126 billion US dollars in 2003. China has become America's third largest trade partner.

Imports from the US reached 34 billion US dollars, while exports to the US exceeded 92 billion US dollars.

Experts predict that China will buy more information technology products, machinery and electrical equipment, and factory equipment from the US.

Though Sino-US trade friction may arise again this year, there is still great potential for trade between the two countries.
