"Greetings of Spring" Concert Held in Chinese Consulate General in Houston

    In January 12, 2017, Ambassador Li Qiangmin, Chinese Consulate General in Houston hosted the "Greetings of Spring" Concert to entertain the local leaders and representative from all walks of life in Houston. Mayor of Sugar Land Joe Zimmerman, Mayor of Pearland Tom Reid, State Representative Gene Wu, Regional Director of the Office of Foreign Mission-Houston Nicholas Papp, Houston City officials, Consular Corps and elites from different field present.

    Consul General Li expressed his best wishes while the year of rooster is coming. He introduced the economy of China, the newest development of relationship between China and the US, China and Southern US cooperation. And Li said that he looked forward to joining hands with everyone in the whole consular area to strive for new progress in bilateral cooperation in 2017.

    During the concert, artists from local Chinese communities performed the classic Chinese music, e.g. Dance of the Yi People, Deep in the Bamboo Forest, The Butterfly Lovers etc. The wonderful performance was highly praised by the guests.
